Join us for a smartphone photography workshop lead by renowned professional photographers: Steve Goff & Beckwith Thompson!
The Smartphone Photography Workshop is designed to introduce techniques, tools, and apps to get the maximum quality and creative potential for today's cell phone cameras. Participants should be familiar with the basic operations of their specific phone. The instructors will be using an iPhone for demonstrations. The class will introduce/review camera editing techniques for Android and Mac, plus the premiere editing app, Snapseed (free at your app store). Participants will have an opportunity to photograph and create edited images with the instructors during the day.
$50 for General Admission; $45 for CCA Members
4 hour class + boxed lunch + instruction from two renowned professional photographers.

About the instructors:
Steve Goff and Beckwith Thompson continue to teach photography (37/25 years respectively) at Odessa College.
Steve Goff just recently retired as Professor and Associate Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Photographic Society and Odessa Arts. Steve plans to do more commercial photography, focusing on products and sites in the oil industry and teaching. He received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Ohio University and taught at the Maine Photographic Workshops, Lakeland and Cuyahoga Community Colleges, and Cleveland State University before moving to Texas. He has been awarded the Aid to Individual Artist Fellowship from the Ohio Arts Council and the Fellowship Award in Photography from the Mid-America Arts Alliance/National Endowment for the Arts and represented the Fellowship winners at Mois de la Photo in Paris, France. He has an extensive exhibition record and teaches workshops around the state and region.
Beckwith Thompson decorates multi-story buildings for the design and banking industries in the commercial world. Beckwith also specializes in creating fine art portraits, particularly of children and females of all ages, and has clients throughout the United States, Shanghai, and Paris. She has exhibited in group and solo shows throughout the United States and as far away as Ireland. In all, Beckwith’s adventures have taken her to 15 countries and 48 states. Beckwith received her B.S. in Communication from The University of Texas at Austin and her M.F.A. From Texas Tech University. She has also taught at the University of Texas Permian Basin and Texas Tech University.
